Ray Dauer
Currently employed as the Senior Supervising Scientist for the Haematology Laboratory, Eastern Health providing scientific oversigt for Haematology to the Box Hill, Angliss and Maroondah hosptial laboratories. Prior to this appointment he was the Prinicipal Scientist at the Alfred hospital, Melbourne. In 1983 he was awarded a Fellowship from the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists. In 2001 he completed an MBA from Swinburne University, and in 2011 was awarded a Foundation Fellowship in Science from the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia. He is also an associate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His career in Medical Laboratory Science spans over thirty years, he has acted as the Director of Pathology, Eastern Health and been the Principal Scientist for Haematology at the Alfred, Austin and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of haemostasis. With formal experience in teaching and training of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels lecturing and demonstrating to undergraduate students as well as RCPA Haematology candidates. He is a Professional laboratory scientist and manager with a passion for Haemostasis and a strong commitment to continuing education, professional development and systems thinking.
